I recently bought a 1989 2.6L Ram50 for my son. After replacing the fuel filter ( Hadn't been run for about 3 years) getting it started it is not 100%. Line, filter and tank OK but it seems that when the excellerator is down 1/3-1/2 it starts cutting out as if starving for gas. I suspect the carb needs rebuilt or a used one to replace.
