A couple of options... - heat it up and use a pick to clean it out. - Use a drill bit that is slightly smaller than the inside diameter. - Get a shaft cleaning brush from someplace like golfworks. Personally I use a combination of the first two. I just take a drill bit and drill out the inside if there is a solid plug.
