WebJan 16, 2016 · The tie-rod hole/taper in the GMT800 knuckle is bigger - from a rough quick measurement: 9/16 -> 11/16" As compared to the GMT400 tie-rod's 1/2 -> 5/8" I spent some time looking online looking last winter, but maybe should look more. Need to find a Moog or other table showing all the outer tie-rod ends with 11/16-18 threads. WebDec 3, 2024 · It is nothing like doing the gmt-800 conversion, but it does help. I reused my russel braided brake lines on mine, so I assume the rubber lines would work as well. Just make sure you buy the dually stuff as GM also made the 3500 in a single rear wheel truck, and it used the same brakes as the 2500 with 8 lugs and a 10.5" rear axle.
