Old … WebGo-to is rittenhouse, although someone gave me a templeton's rye recently that is decent (although not nearly as rye forward, and there's a touch of sweetness) in cocktails. I usually go half rye and half bourbon also, and ECBP/willet4yr rye make an awesome manhattan. Personally, the selection of vermouth/bitters is a more important decision IMO.
